
We reported a few days back on Indian govt plans to reveal a Rs 500 laptop. And here is the Sakshat on display. It was speculated that this ultra cheap computer beats the OLPC by far in pricing and features 2GB memory, LAN and WiFi. Read what it really is after the jump.

Shakshat is just a computing device that can store information, which can be accessed by user by connecting it to a laptop. Someone also claimed that this would help build a Rs 3,000 laptop at some point in the future. But no answer to why this little one was hyped up as a LAPTOP?
