The LifeBook N7010; a regular 16-inch 16:9 notebook but with an additional 4-inch touch screen embedded right above the keyboard. This sub-display – which Fujitsu are calling the “Touch Zone” – can be treated as an extension of the main screen, with apps dragged ‘down’ to it, or be used as a toolbox for app controls or media playback buttons. Fujitsu Life Book U820 is now on sale. $999(approximate Rs 47,000) buys you a mini convertible tablet with an Intel Atom Z530 CPU, a 5.6-inch WXGA touchscreen, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 60GB 4,200RPM hard drive, built-in GPS / Garmin Mobile PC, Ethernet, a webcam / fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth / WiFi and a 4-cell battery. There’s also a $1,299 (approximate Rs 61,300) version.

A nice concept mobile phone has emerged from a research partnership between Fujitsu and Docomo.
The cellphone will allow you to configure your mobile as you want. Actually, your mobile can be split in two parts (screen and keyboard). The screen features all software (as the video function), while the keyboard communication, radio functions (3G, network…)

Getting past the bullcrap-fluff press release which you can read after jump. Fujitsu has a pretty good machine here. The specs include a 14.1-inch widescreen LCD with a resolution of 1280X800, the latest Intel Centrino 2 processor, Intel PM45/GM45 Express Chipset, NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS with 256MB VRAM, 1.3 Mega pixel camera, built-in microphone, WiFi and HDMI out. The L1010 will be made available in 5 unique combination of White and Pink Gold, Black, Turquoise Blue, Pink and Purple. No word on pricing or India launch, but you can bet it will be pricey.

The notebook features an Intel Centrino Atom processor (1.6 GHz), a 64 GB SSD Drive, a 5.6″ LCD screen (1,280 x 800), 1.3 megapixel webcam, and 4-cell battery offering up to 8 hours runtime.
