Digital-Cube’s iStation T5

4 Nov 2008 In: Gadgets

Digital Cube is has just launched its fifth-generation PMP with the 4.8-inch T5. There have been one T5 PMP launched by another brand and at least a couple of T50s that we know about but it’s safe to say when it’s HSDPA connectivity you’re looking for we’re pretty sure Digital-Cube will come to your mind. The T5 has a 3D UI and Nvidia Tegra as a possible chip. Being now a Telson-owned company, Digital-Cube will have a ready distribution network worldwide. The only question is: will the iStation T5 be affordable enough for the world market?

New wireless headphones, iPod adapter from Onkyo

13 Oct 2008 In: Gear

Onkyo’s latest wireless MHP-UW2 headphones transmit tunes over the 2.4GHz frequency and come bundled with a handy-dandy iPod adapter that should work with practically any dock-connecting unit out there. Though not that stylish as expected, those who are more concerned with audio fidelity and iPod compatibility have every reason to cheer about the product including the claims of an eight hour battery life.
But the bad part is there is no telling when the MHP-UW2 headphones and iPod adapter would be shipped out of the Japanese market. The kit is expected to hit the Japanese market next month for 20,000 Yen (Rs 9,700 approx).
